Centine, pronounced CHEN tee nay, gets its name from a 19th century farmhouse on the Castello Banfi vineyard estate and represents the gateway to Banfi  wines. This entryway is depicted on the label with the winding road, lined by Cyprus trees leading up to the 12th Century Castello

This smooth drinking Italian red wine has a decent complexity, and is simply a delicious wine for all kinds of foods and occasions. It is another winner from Castello Banfi, who is the American-owned winery in Tuscony, that, among other characteristics, has a knack for producing inexpensive, relatively large-production wines that over-deliver.

With an intense ruby red colour, and flavors of luscious berry and ripe cherry on the nose.The wine finishes with subtle hints of vanilla and fresh herbs on the palate. Soft tannins and great acidity balance out this enticing red.
