Cognac a variety of brandy named after the commune of Cognac, France. It is produced in the surrounding wine-growing region in the districts of Charente. There are three types of cognac offer at Wine Barrica: VS (Very Special), VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) and XO (Extra Old). VS liquors defines a blend in which the earliest brandy has been aged for at minimum two years in a cask, while VSOP cognac must age for at least four years.
