What are the kinds and types of red wine?

There are hundreds of types of red wine variations for consumer  use, from light and elegance to brash and defined, however, only about 23 varieties provide to the mainstream of red wine creation. The most grown grape varieties are: Merlot - Smooth mouthfeel, Sangiovese- Red fruit, earthy and herbal, Tempranillo - Red and black fruit, earth and herbs, Cabernet Sauvignon - Strength, sophistication and intricacy and Pinot Noir - Simple, soft and intricate.
