The Oban distillery was established by John and Hugh Stephenson in Oban, a town with only eight thousand residents and where Gaelic is still spoken by the more traditional members of the community. The 14 year old Single Malt is the Oban distillery's entry and most popular offering. A big bodied, malty single malt, with hints of orange rind, it stands as both a superb starter whiskey for the newcomer and a very pleasing sip for the veteran fan.
